Germany's Largest Energy Company Halts New Gas Purchases from Gazprom
Germany's largest energy company, E.ON, has halted the purchase of new gas volumes from traders of Gazprom due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This was announced by the company's chief, Leonhard Birnbaum, as reported by Reuters.
The agency emphasizes that, according to the company, E.ON did not have direct long-term contracts with Russian gas producers; however, the company did buy small volumes of gas from Gazprom enterprises.
