No Accounts to Be Blocked in Russia, White House Responds to Russian Sanctions
Officials from the United States who have been placed on Russia's sanctions list do not have plans to visit Russia and do not hold accounts there. This was stated by White House spokesperson Jen Psaki.
“Therefore, we will move forward,” she said.
Psaki noted that none of the individuals listed under the Russian sanctions plan to travel to Russia for tourism and do not have bank accounts that could be blocked.
Earlier, it was revealed that Russia has imposed individual sanctions against U.S. leaders and associated individuals.
According to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, starting March 15, U.S. President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, along with several other agency leaders and notable American figures, have been included in the Russian “blacklist” on a reciprocal basis.
