“They Crows Often” - Lavrov on French Foreign Minister's Statement
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov responded to the remarks made by French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian in an interview with Russian and foreign media.
“He loves to crow a lot these days. The rooster is the national symbol of the French. They often crow,” Lavrov commented on Le Drian's words regarding Putin needing to remember France's possession of nuclear weapons.
Lavrov warned the West about the real danger of nuclear war, suggesting that such plans are indeed maturing.
“It is the Western politicians who are constantly spinning the idea of a ‘nuclear war’, not the Russians. I assure you, we will not allow ourselves to be pushed out of balance,” Lavrov said.
The Russian Foreign Minister also mentioned that a conversation is currently taking place between Putin and the President of France.
