“It Was a Real Thriller”: Lukashenko on Organizing Russian-Ukrainian Negotiations
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, spoke about the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations that took place on February 28 in his country. This information was reported by Sputnik Belarus.
“If we tell you how we organized those negotiations, it was a real thriller... The negotiators were simply superb, they did more than was possible. They excelled in their work during the first phase over the course of five hours,” Lukashenko said.
According to him, a cautiously optimistic approach should be taken regarding the negotiations, as the parties have agreed to continue the dialogue, but this time at the border of Poland and Belarus.
Recall that in the early morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided on a special military operation against Ukraine because the LPR and DPR had requested assistance. In a televised address to the Russian people, he stated that circumstances required decisive and immediate actions.
