Azerbaijani Armed Forces Open Fire on Farmers in Artsakh, Says Republic's Prosecutor's Office

Today, around 15:30, Azerbaijani forces stationed near the community of Kharamort in the Askeran region of the Republic of Artsakh opened fire on individuals engaged in agricultural activities in the administrative territory of the same community. As a result, a tractor was hit, but the citizens managed to escape thanks to the intervention of Russian peacekeepers.

The Artsakh Republic police are documenting and securing evidence of this criminal incident. Instead of threatening to arrest and hold the citizens of the Artsakh Republic criminally accountable, we advise the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan to take minimal measures to prevent incidents aimed at the physical destruction of the peaceful population of Artsakh and to bring those who commit such criminal acts to justice.

This is not only the only civilized approach for countries that seek 'peace,' but also an international and public obligation undertaken by the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is a party to the European Convention on the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
