Weapons and Drugs Discovered During Enhanced Police Operations in Yerevan

The Armenian police have reported that today, enhanced police operations were conducted in Yerevan. Various inspections were carried out during these operations, including checks on vehicles.

“We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our citizens, but at the same time, we would like to remind that such operations are conducted for the purpose of ensuring public safety. Specifically, today, in just a few hours, 21 units of cold weapons, 2 submachine guns, combat and gas pistols, drugs, and more have been discovered. It is not hard to imagine the threat that such weapons could pose to the citizens,” the statement said.

The police emphasized that they will regularly conduct similar preventive and preemptive measures. “We hope for the support of our citizens in actions aimed at ensuring public safety,” it added.
