VIDEO: Robbery at a Store on Northern Avenue. 23-Year-Old Assaults Employee While Fleeing

On February 1, a robbery occurred at a store on Northern Avenue. Around 7:00 PM, a young man had openly stolen a jacket and a shirt from a clothing store. While fleeing, he struck a security employee who was pursuing him and escaped in the direction of Abovyan Street.

The Public Relations Department of the RA Police reported that the suspect's unusual behavior at the intersection of Arami and Abovyan streets did not escape the notice of the officers from the Yerevan Patrol Service. The patrols chased him down and detained him, bringing him to the Central Police Department on suspicion of committing robbery.

The 23-year-old suspect, a resident of Moldovan Street in Yerevan, exhibited inappropriate behavior during his detention, which he continued at the precinct as well. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident, and the detained individual has been arrested. The circumstances are being clarified during the pre-trial investigation.
