Tragic Incident on Griboedov Street in Yerevan

The National Crisis Management Center received a report on January 24 at 17:47 that a citizen had fallen into a hole near one of the buildings on Griboedov Street in Yerevan, requiring the assistance of rescuers.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a firefighting and rescue unit from the Yerevan Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene.

It was found that an employee, identified as G.K. (born in 1951), had been discovered unconscious on reinforcing steel bars at a construction site.

Rescuers, along with emergency medical staff, retrieved G.K. from the steel bars and transported him to an ambulance. He was later hospitalized at the Mikayelyan Institute of Surgery, where he succumbed to his injuries without regaining consciousness.
