Vehicle Leaves Roadway and Falls 20m into Gorge; Three Injured

On January 21 at 19:14, the Vayots Dzor regional crisis management center received a report that an accident had occurred on the Yerevan-Meghri highway as two vehicles slid into a gorge. A firefighting and rescue team from the Saravan post of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that at the 151st km of the M-2 highway, an Opel Astra G (driven by A. P.) had gone off the roadway and hit the roadside barrier, while an Infiniti QX4 (driven by S. H.) had veered off the roadway and slid approximately 20 meters into the adjacent gorge. Passengers A. G. (born in 1956) and N. B. (born in 1989) from the Infiniti QX4 were transported to the hospital in Vayk by local authorities, where doctors assessed their condition as satisfactory. Rescuers managed to pull the vehicles back onto the roadway.
