Lavrov on the Expansion of the CSTO

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has spoken about the possibilities of expanding the CSTO.

According to him, everything is stated in the organization's charter: "Anyone who wants to join must submit such a request." He noted, "In the last year and a half, the heads of state signed a protocol that implies amendments to the charter, and in addition to full members of the organization, institutions of partner and observer status are being created," adding that "there is interest at least in establishing connections."
