Emergency Incident in Yerevan: Fire Breaks Out in Parked BMW X5
Today, December 17, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 04:55, the 911 crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a report that a vehicle was on fire in the yard of building No. 20 on Mamikonyaants Street.
According to shamshyan.com, two firefighting teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Fire and Rescue Service No. 65, along with one water truck, arrived promptly on the scene. Officers from the Yerevan battalion's 2nd company of the police patrol service also responded quickly, led by the battalion commander Armen Gasparyan and his deputy Karen Avetisyan.
The police secured the area to allow the firefighters to work. The firefighters extinguished the fire that had erupted in the BMW X5 vehicle. The interior of the car was burned, rendering it unusable. Preliminary information indicates that there was a fuel leak from the vehicle, but fortunately, the driver A. Khachatryan was unharmed and had even attempted to fight the fire before the firefighters arrived.
