Baku Issues Statement Addressed to Yerevan
The official Baku is ready to begin negotiations with Yerevan on signing a peace agreement. Hikmet Hajiyev, head of the foreign policy affairs department of the President's Administration, announced this according to Interfax Azerbaijan.
"Azerbaijan is prepared to start talks with Armenia about signing a peace agreement. A final peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia is a question that aligns with Armenia's interests. For its part, Azerbaijan will continue efforts aimed at establishing peace and stability in the region," Hajiyev stated.
He added that Baku positively assesses the outcomes of the trilateral meeting held in Sochi on November 26. "The opinions expressed in the final statement and the results of the discussions show that there is positive dynamism in realizing our objectives. At the same time, Armenia must fully comprehend the changed geopolitical realities in the region," the official concluded.
