In Tavush, a 3-Year-Old Girl is the Deceased Due to Collapse, 6 Hospitalized: Details
The Tavush Regional Crisis Management Center received a call on November 21 at 13:34, reporting that the common balcony on the second floor of one of the buildings on 5th Street in the village of Haykakan had collapsed. The entrance to the building was closed off and there were injured individuals. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.
A team from the regional rescue unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was found that 7 individuals were on the balcony at the time of the collapse. Before the arrival of the rescuers, the injured, including A.O. (born in 2018), E.K. (born in 1958), A.A. (born in 1995), G.A. (born in 1951), A.D. (born in 1973), A.O. (born in 1961), and J.O. (born in 1985), were taken to the Noyemberyan Medical Center by local forces. A.O. (born in 2018) died on the way to the hospital. The doctors assessed the health condition of the injured as satisfactory,” the report states.
According to the source, rescuers opened the entrance of the building by removing the collapsed structural elements.
