Clash Between Armenian and Azerbaijani Soldiers in the Lake Sevan Area

On November 9, a clash occurred between Armenian and Azerbaijani soldiers in the Lake Sevan area after Armenian troops conducted fortification measures in the territory of Armenia.

According to information received by 24News, Russian soldiers intervened in the situation, but the atmosphere remains tense.

“The Azerbaijanis set up a position in the territory of Armenia, towards Lake Sevan, above Goris. In response, our forces also established a position behind them, again within Armenian territory, which led to provocations from the Azerbaijanis and ultimately resulted in the clash. Russian soldiers intervened in the matter; at the moment, there are no ongoing operations, but the situation is quite tense,” our source noted.
