Fatal Accident Involving a Truck in Yerevan

On November 5, a fatal accident occurred in Yerevan. At around 17:10, a Mercedes truck struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street at an unauthorized location, in front of building 48 on Shiraz Street.

According to shamshyan.com, the victim, a middle-aged woman, died on the spot. The driver did not flee the scene and attempted to assist her. However, when the paramedics confirmed the pedestrian's death, the driver voluntarily went to the Mashtots police station.

The information about the accident was forwarded from the Yerevan unit of the Patrol Service to the Traffic Crimes Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia. The police and the investigative department are working to establish the identities of the driver and the deceased. By the investigator's order, the vehicle has been taken to a secure area of the Yerevan Patrol Service.
