Search Operations Not Yet Underway, Azerbaijan Prevents Them: Hunan Tadevosyan
As of October 18, search operations for the remains of service members killed during military actions in areas now under Azerbaijani control, and still considered missing, have not been carried out. The reason is attributed to the Azerbaijani side.
“Our team is always ready; we are always open to negotiations, but since October 18, we have been denied. The Azerbaijani side is preventing search operations from being conducted without any explanation or justification. Currently, we are in a state of waiting,” Hunan Tadevosyan, the spokesperson for the Emergency Situations Ministry of the Artsakh Republic, stated in an interview with Panorama.am.
From November 13, 2020, to October 20 of this year, a total of 1,686 remains have been confirmed through search operations and the exchange of bodies, including civilians.
