No News on Conscription Soldier Missing from Vardenis for 5 Months
No news has emerged regarding the conscription soldier who went missing from the Vardenis area since May 18. This was stated in an interview with NEWS.am by Arsen Aghababyan, the former head of the Koghb community.
“A search has been announced for him, but so far, there is no news,” he said.
Recall that a conscription soldier, Norik Aghababyan, a resident of Koghb village in the Tavush region, went missing on May 18 in the Vardenis region. He is 18 years old and has been serving in Vardenis since January. The soldier’s phone was found about 30 kilometers away from the post, and his parents did not notice any concerns during their last conversations with him.
In connection with the incident, the Vardenis police department of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia is preparing documentation and taking measures not only to locate the soldier but also to clarify the circumstances of the case.
