Hospitals Operate Under Severe Strain, Bed Capacity No Longer Adequate: Arsen Torosyan
Former Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan visited the medical centers in Hrazdan and Vanadzor today as part of his regional visits to assess the organization of COVID-19 treatment. He shared this information on his Facebook page.
“I spoke with the directors of both hospitals regarding the current strain, the issues that have arisen, and potential solutions. From the example of these hospitals, we can confirm that medical centers in the republic that serve COVID-19 patients are operating under severe strain, and the bed capacity is no longer sufficient. Many of our compatriots also do not have the opportunity to be hospitalized and are waiting at home for their turn. I once again urge our compatriots to get vaccinated, so that we can work together to break the chain of infection and avoid the need for hospitalization.
Along with vaccination, I want to remind everyone of the anti-epidemic rules: wash or sanitize hands frequently, maintain social distance, and wear masks in public enclosed spaces,” Torosyan wrote.
