Putin Talks About His Potential Successor
Russian President Vladimir Putin prefers not to answer questions about his potential participation in the elections. He mentioned this in an interview with CNBC while responding to a question about his successor.
"This is my traditional answer. There is still quite a bit of time until the next elections. Conversations on this topic destabilize the situation. It should be calm and stable, so that all branches of power and state institutions work confidently and look calmly towards the future," he stated.
The Russian president reminded of his right to run for a second term, while emphasizing that "no decision has been made on this issue yet."
