Israel Strikes Iranian Military Target, Casualties Reported
The Israeli Air Force has launched missile strikes on the Iranian T-4 military airport located southeast of Palmyra (240 kilometers from Damascus). The Syrian state news agency SANA reports that Israeli aircraft targeted a site near the city of Palmyra in Homs province late on the evening of October 13, hitting from the Al-Tanf area.
According to Al Hadath TV, an Iranian drone base was attacked. Sources indicate that the Shiite militia fighters stationed there, who are fighting alongside Syrian forces, suffered losses. Four fatalities have been confirmed, and there are also injuries, though the number remains unspecified.
Earlier, on the evening of October 8, it was reported that Israeli air forces targeted Iranian-affiliated militant positions in the T-4 airport area, heading towards Al-Tanf. Significant damage was inflicted on the base used by Iranian-backed paramilitaries for drone operations, destroying drone launch platforms.
Syrian Army command and representatives of the Russian command asserted that Syrian air defenses intercepted 8 out of the 12 missiles fired by Israeli aircraft. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports that several Iranian-affiliated paramilitaries were killed.
