Armed Forces General Staff Comments on Recent Searches
According to recent reports, a search has been conducted at the residence of Davit Tonoyan within the framework of an ongoing criminal case regarding arms procurement being investigated by the National Security Service (NSS). It is possible that he may be arrested. Searches are also taking place at the homes of former Military Aviation Chief Avetik Muradyan and Deputy Chief of the General Staff Stepan Galstyan.
The publication spoke with Samvel Asatryan, the spokesperson for the Armed Forces General Staff. He confirmed that Deputy Chief of the General Staff Stepan Galstyan was summoned to the NSS today in connection with the known case.
