Biden Makes Vaccination Mandatory for Public Employees and Staff
US President Joe Biden has made vaccination mandatory for public employees, workers at public clinics, and employees of large companies. This requirement will affect approximately 100 million citizens, which is two-thirds of working Americans, reports the Moscow Komsomolets.
Previously, civil servants were required to either get vaccinated or undergo regular weekly testing. Now, unvaccinated civil servants face the threat of dismissal.
The country’s leader noted that the mandatory vaccination applies to 300,000 educators and 17 million healthcare workers. Additionally, employees of companies with more than 100 workers must also be vaccinated.
Currently, about 53 percent of the population in the United States is vaccinated.
