Alashkert's Head Coach Resigns
According to information from ArmSport, Alashkert's head coach Alexander Grigoryan has left his position.
It is noteworthy that Grigoryan took the helm of the Armenian team on May 20 of this year, replacing Abraham Khashmanyan just a few rounds before the end of the 2020/21 Premier League season.
Under Grigoryan's leadership, Alashkert became the champion of the Vbet Premier League 2020/21 season. Before taking charge of the club, the coach also worked at another Yerevan club, Urartu.
It should be reminded that this week, in the first match of the second qualifying round of the Champions League, Alashkert hosted Moldova's champion Sheriff and suffered a defeat. The match ended with a score of 0-1. Next week, the teams will hold the return match, and if the club confirms our information in the near future, Alashkert will prepare for the upcoming Champions League match under a new head coach or an interim director.
