New Developments in the October 27 Case
The newspaper "Haylur" reports that during the investigation into the organizers of the terrorist act that took place in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on October 27, 1999, several investigative and procedural actions have been carried out throughout 2020 by the Investigative Department of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia.
"Haylur" has learned that over ten individuals have been interrogated with the aim of identifying persons related to the weapons and ammunition used, including Nairi Hunanyan, Karen Hunanyan, Deranik Bejanian, Ashot Knyazyan, Anahit Bakhshyan, and Aram Sargsyan.
During this period, numerous seizures were made based on the decisions of the conducting authority. These include volumes of trial records, audio recordings attached to the criminal case, and other materials.
According to our information, a number of investigative hypotheses have been proposed based on factual data obtained during the procedural actions conducted during the preliminary investigation, and a plan for investigation has been developed to verify these hypotheses.
Currently, appropriate procedural actions are still being taken to clarify the complete circumstances of the bloody massacre that occurred in the National Assembly on October 27, 1999, as well as to ensure a comprehensive, complete, and objective investigation of the case.
