By Banning Photography in Syunik, NSS Attempts to Conceal Its Inactivity and Disgrace: Vahe Hakobyan
The National Security Service (NSS) is seeking to mask its inaction, stated Vahe Hakobyan, president of the Reborn Armenia party, during a press conference addressing the ban on photography in the border area of Syunik.
"The NSS initiated this because it is trying to cover up its inaction and disgrace, there is no other explanation," he noted.
Hakobyan also commented on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's failure to learn that Armenia exports copper raw materials. He referenced Pashinyan’s statement about potentially reopening railway routes from Azerbaijan to Turkey, suggesting that this would allow for the construction of copper smelters that would process the raw materials for export.
"We need to understand where these routes will lead from Turkey, and those are all questions whose answers no one has provided up to now, especially Nikol Pashinyan,” Hakobyan added.
According to Hakobyan, as long as Nikol Pashinyan is the leader of the country, there can be no support for the mining sector or the construction of copper smelters. "Today he continues to engage in populism. It is possible to continuously talk about explosive economic growths, but reality has its limits, while imagination does not. Nikol Pashinyan has plunged us into imagination; some people believe it, others do not. But let’s face reality, which is harsh; otherwise, we will lose our state,” he emphasized.
When asked about the supporters of Pashinyan in Syunik and what to expect from the elections in this context, he replied that given the changing situation, it should not be ruled out that the elections might be canceled, and it is possible that elections could occur without Nikol Pashinyan.
