Video: Citizens Detained for Bringing Ice Cream to Armen Sargsyan
Protesters brought ice cream to President Armen Sargsyan at 26 Baghramyan as a form of demonstration. Police officers prevented citizens from carrying out their protest action.
“We left our jobs to come here; we are fighting for our homeland. Your child is not hungry today; you can afford to give them money, but I left my child hungry and I am fighting for your child as well,” said one of the participants addressing the police.
The police officer responded, “There is a way to fight.” Following this, the police detained the citizens.
A protest participant resisted the police actions, stating that they had not violated any laws: “When you send a letter, I will come. If you officially invite me to the department, I will come as well. Under which law are you detaining me?”
