Heavy Snowfall Expected
On February 17, heavy snowfall is anticipated in Shirak, Lori, Tavush, the mountainous regions of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, and Gegharkunik, with blizzard conditions expected in certain areas. Winds are expected to strengthen in Shirak, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Gegharkunik, and the Ararat Valley, with gusts reaching 25-30 m/s, while in Yerevan, gusts may reach 20-25 m/s.
Throughout the republic, from February 17-20, precipitation is expected intermittently in most regions, and from February 18-20, in mountainous and pre-mountainous areas in the form of snow. The wind will be southwesterly at 5-10 m/s, with gusts expected to strengthen in some areas on the 16th at 20-25 m/s, and on the 17th at 25-30 m/s.
The temperature will gradually decrease by 13-16 degrees from February 18-21. In Yerevan, rain and thunderstorms are expected on February 17, with wet snow from the 18th to the 20th, and clear weather anticipated on the 21st. On February 17, wind gusts of 20-25 m/s are expected.
