Snow Falls on Certain Roads in Armenia; Lars Still Closed
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed roads within the territory of Armenia. The roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station in the Aragatsotn Province to Amberd Fortress and to Lake Kari are closed.
In Dilijan city of Tavush Province, and in Stepanavan and Tashir cities of Lori Province, snowfall is currently occurring.
According to information received from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepanstsminda-Lars road is closed for all types of vehicles; approximately 490 cargo trucks are stuck on the Russian side. Drivers are advised to use winter tires only.
