Five Artificial Lung Ventilation Devices Created in Armenia Ready for Clinical Trials

Five artificial lung ventilation devices have been prepared and will soon undergo clinical trials. This was announced by the Minister of High-Tech Industry Hakob Arshakyan during a press conference, discussing the funding project for artificial lung ventilation devices.

"Five such devices have already been developed. They can be said to have passed the testing phase, and there is a need for clinical trials. I am not aware of similar complex devices developed in Armenia, especially in the field of medical engineering. These are complex systems, and acquiring such knowledge in Armenia can have a significant impact," said the minister.

According to Arshakyan, the company that won the competition participated in a licensing competition for the software system developed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Of the 330 companies from around 42 countries, 28 were successful, one of which was that company. Based on that, it was possible to create this device in Armenia. The five samples will be presented at a separate event soon.
