Stepantsminda-Lars Highway Closed to Articulated Trucks Due to Avalanche Risk
According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed to articulated trucks due to the risk of avalanches, while all other vehicles remain passable. On the Russian side, there are approximately 600 trucks accumulated.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
