Emergency Incident in Yerevan: Wanted Individual Takes Child Hostage
Today, January 27, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan. Officers from the Main Directorate of Criminal Police of the RA Police, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Police of Yerevan, and the Arabkir Police Department were confronting a wanted individual based on operational information in the area known to the public as Kanaker HPP in the Arabkir administrative district.
According to reports from shamshyan.com, the wanted person has taken a child hostage and is refusing to surrender to the police. Currently, negotiations are being conducted with him by the Chief of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, Vahe Ghazaryan.
Also present at the scene are First Deputy Chief of Police Aram Hovhannisyan, Yerevan Police Chief Sevan Kocharyan, Head of the Main Directorate of Criminal Police Vardan Vardanyan, and Head of the Arabkir Police Department Armen Vatyan.
