VIDEO: Man Demanding Bribe from Citizen Arrested After Receiving Money - Police Revelation

During the operational measures taken by the Gegharkunik Regional Police Department and the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crime Prevention Department, a citizen reported to the Martuni Division, stating that an employee of the Martuni Territorial Agency for Social Assistance of the Gegharkunik Regional Administration had requested a bribe of 70,000 drams to include him in the list of beneficiaries of the 'Paros' program.

As a result of operational-investigative measures carried out by the mentioned police divisions on January 22, the head of the Social Assistance Department of the same agency was caught in his office in the Martuni municipality immediately after receiving the demanded bribe amount. A sum of 70,000 drams, identified as the bribe, was discovered from him.

The individual has been taken to the Martuni police station. The materials prepared regarding the incident have been forwarded to the local investigative body, where a criminal case has been initiated. The apprehended person has been arrested.
