Russian Peacekeepers Neutralize Over 23,700 Explosive Objects in Artsakh
During the demining and clearance operations in the outskirts of Martakert, Russian peacekeepers are utilizing modern Uran-6 robotic systems and bomb detection service dogs, which ensure the safety of military personnel while maintaining high clearance rates under all weather conditions, reported the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Since November 23, 2020, operations conducted by the engineering units of the Russian peacekeeping forces have resulted in the demining of approximately 551 hectares of land, 205.3 kilometers of roads, and 783 buildings, including 25 socially significant objects. Over 23,700 explosive objects have been discovered and neutralized.
The identified explosive devices and unexploded ordnance are removed and destroyed, according to the ministry.
