Residents of Armenia's Border Areas Need to Be Armed: Sergey Bagratyan

Residents of Armenia's border areas need to be armed. This was stated by independent MP Sergey Bagratyan during a session of the National Assembly on January 18.

He specifically mentioned that he plans to present a corresponding draft law in the near future, which will provide residents of border territories with the opportunity to acquire combat weapons.

According to him, residents are obliged to undergo appropriate combat training, and if the necessity for self-defense arises, they will at least be able to psychologically cope with the currently escalating tense situation.

“As long as we have border issues, citizens, especially those living near the borders, feel defenseless,” Bagratyan noted.
