“The Department of Defense has agreed to provide up to 25,000 service members for security during the inauguration of the newly elected president,” the statement reads.

Earlier, it was reported that U.S. President Donald Trump plans to leave Washington on the morning of inauguration day, January 20. According to sources, Trump intends to hold a farewell event at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, where planes used by the U.S. president are stationed.
