Service Investigation Launched Regarding Arsen Avagyan Who Called for Blockading the Church
A recent incident in Syunik sparked significant discussions. During Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit to Syunik, he attended the St. Grigor Church in Sisian. Upon leaving, he attempted to greet the church's spiritual leader, Father Pargev, with a handshake, which was refused.
After this, Arsen Avagyan, a member of the Civil Contract party who works at the Syunik branch of the Armenian Ministry of Urban Development, urged people on his Facebook page to gather and block the church.
In an interview with ArmDaily.am, Artush Grigoryan, the deputy head of the Ministry of Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety Inspectorate, stated that a service investigation has been initiated regarding Avagyan: “The employee will be invited for hearings.”
