We Urge to Refrain from Illegal Activities: Police Statement
Dear citizens,
The police continue to fulfill their duties in maintaining public order. We urge you to refrain from illegal activities, actions that violate the rights of other citizens, and behaviors that obstruct the normal functioning of communities.
Everyone has the right to express their opinion freely, but other citizens also have rights to free movement, preservation of silence, and other rights.
In particular, actions that hinder the movement of citizens and transport traffic entail legal responsibility. Traffic participants are required to adhere to traffic rules and comply with the legal demands of police officers and not create emergency situations.
Failure to comply with the legal demands of police officers executing their duties in maintaining public order results in a fine equivalent to one-tenth of the established minimum wage.
The police reiterate that all their actions are aimed at ensuring public order and protecting the rights and safety of all citizens.
We once again call for sobriety, legality, and cooperation with the police in maintaining public tranquility. This is stated in the announcement made by the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
