Artsakh President Receives Newly Appointed Armenian Defense Minister Vahe Harutyunyan
The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, received the newly appointed Minister of Defense of Armenia, Vahe Harutyunyan, on December 1.
The head of state noted that significant work is expected in the defense sector after a challenging period and expressed confidence that Harutyunyan’s extensive military experience and knowledge will greatly contribute to the effective organization of this process.
President Harutyunyan emphasized that a priority on the agenda is the fate of servicemen who went missing or were captured as a result of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan on September 27, and that all efforts are directed towards this issue.
Vahe Harutyunyan underscored the importance of the issues raised by the president, stating that all necessary actions are being carried out in coordination with the leadership of the Defense Army and relevant agencies.
Also present at the meeting was the commander of the Artsakh Defense Army, Mikael Arzumanyan.
