It is perhaps unnecessary to explain to anyone how crucial ammunition depots are in wartime and the impact their destruction can have on the course and outcome of a war. It is worth noting that strikes on these depots, even if they do not completely destroy them, will force the enemy to allocate resources to extinguishing the fires, organizing evacuations of surrounding settlements, and isolating or relocating the undamaged sections of the depot. We have witnessed this numerous times in various countries during munitions depot fires, including Azerbaijan, where a fire broke out in 2017 at the country’s then-largest military depot in Gilyaz. Following that incident, the depot was taken out of operation.
Now, we present Azerbaijan's current largest and most important ammunition depot, which could potentially be targeted by Armenian Iskanders.
