Shirak Deputy Governor Submits Resignation
“Dear friends and colleagues, considering the disastrous and urgent situation in the country, and realizing that the primary goal of the establishment of our nation and state exceeds individual, group, political, and similar interests, I have decided to resign from my position as Deputy Governor.
This position lacks any lever for state building, reforms, and political decision-making, simultaneously constraining my ideological and civil freedom of action.
I understand that past and present, black and white, party and clan divisions have constantly fragmented the national integrity, failing to resolve and unable to resolve the issues we face. Therefore, I will now devote all my capabilities to the work of creating a new statehood based on national identity and the value system that underpins it.
At the same time, I express my gratitude to all my colleagues who have trusted me during this time and with whom I have tried to be helpful to the Republic of Armenia.
The situation compels us to make radical changes; my resignation from the Deputy Governor’s position is not a way to evade responsibility, but rather a measure to take on responsibility and find victorious solutions and steps in the current situation without any alternatives. God be our helper; everything is still ahead.”
