People Have Neither Time Nor Opportunity to Evacuate: Hakob Jagharyan

People have neither time nor opportunity to evacuate: This was stated by former advisor to the Prime Minister of Armenia, Hakob Jagharyan, on his Facebook page.

He specifically noted: “Once again, urgent. Four days ago, in the evening, I received information from our friend in Berdzor, Gagik Manukyan, that Berdzor is to be cleared of Armenians by November 30 at 18:00 and handed over to the enemy.

Let me remind you that the corridor zone and road are 5 km wide and pass through Berdzor. People were already prepared to leave their homes. And they were asking to organize the safe transfer of their belongings.

By the next noon, we organized about 15 trucks. The National Foundation, volunteer individuals, and hired vehicles participated.

The following morning, we received orders to halt the evacuation; Berdzor and the adjacent two villages remain under our control.

Today, on November 30, at 17:00 (one hour earlier than the previously mentioned time), we again receive instructions to leave the city and neighboring villages by 18:00. People have neither time nor opportunity to evacuate.

I reiterate my demand made on November 27: Deeply disrespectful, incompetent, and a government turned into a corpse, what do you say about Berdzor?

Three days ago, without your intervention, we organized the evacuation of people and property. What are we going to do now? Say something reasonable.

What will happen to our compatriots? If they were to evacuate today, why did you deceive them until now? How can we help these people now?

Talk, say something, are they staying, or should we try to initiate something at night? Back then, we still had control over it; we found drivers. How am I going to find a driver tonight to go to an area handed over to the enemy? What will the locals do?”
