«Do you want us to bring a two-person bed there?». Pashinyan later apologized, says parent of a conscript soldier
The parents of conscript soldiers have gathered again in front of the government building today. They demand that their children be brought from Artsakh to Armenia. They are sounding the alarm that the health of the children is deteriorating, that they are sleeping on the floor, next to corpses.
It should be noted that yesterday they met with the Prime Minister, but they are not satisfied with the outcome of the meeting. The Prime Minister assured them that accommodation issues would be resolved shortly, but the parents do not believe him. They threaten that if the issues are not resolved, they will go and bring their sons back themselves.
“I told the Prime Minister, ‘As the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, as Prime Minister, you have forgotten the soldiers.’ When I described the conditions our soldiers are living in, he asked, ‘Do you want us to bring a two-person bed there?’ After those words, I believe we do not have a Prime Minister. We demand the return of conscript soldiers to Armenian territory to continue their service. We do not need anything else,” said one of the protesters during a conversation with reporters, adding that Pashinyan later apologized for those words.
