66-Year-Old Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Incident in Ararat Province; Driver Flees the Scene

On November 27, an extraordinary incident occurred in Ararat Province. At approximately 08:20, the Masis Medical Center alerted the Masis Police Department that an ambulance had been dispatched to the Masis train station, where the body of a man was found.

According to Shamshyan.com, police and investigators determined that the deceased was 66-year-old Haik Sargsyan, a resident of the city of Masis, who, according to preliminary information, was struck by a vehicle driven by an unidentified driver.

Based on the incident, the Masis investigative department has initiated a criminal case under Article 242, Part 2, and Article 244, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. The police and the investigative department are undertaking necessary operational and investigative measures to locate the driver and the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
