Minister of Defense Emphasizes the Issue of Prisoners' Return in Conversation with Rustam Muradov

On November 27, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Vagharshak Harutyunyan, met with Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, the commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces deployed for monitoring the ceasefire regime in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

The head of the defense department expressed gratitude for the rapid deployment of the peacekeeping forces and the extensive work done towards establishing and maintaining peace in Nagorno-Karabakh.

During the meeting, Minister Vagharshak Harutyunyan particularly emphasized the importance of the return of prisoners, as well as the search efforts for the missing and the process of exchanging the bodies of servicemen. It was noted that a special headquarters has been established in Nagorno-Karabakh to effectively organize these efforts, which includes a representative from the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

At the request of Vagharshak Harutyunyan, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov presented the current situation regarding the implementation of the peacekeeping mission and the conditions at the locations of the peacekeeping deployment.
