Public Transport Resumes Operations in Stepanakert, Russian Ministry of Defense Reports
The humanitarian response interdepartmental center's assistance is helping to restore peaceful life in the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh, Stepanakert. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the statement, "Public transport has started operating in the city, and traffic, electricity supply, and water supply have been restored." The Russian Ministry of Defense also reports that civilians continue to return to their homes. The engineering and technical units of the Russian peacekeeping forces continue to provide assistance to local authorities in the clearing of public roads and in the restoration of social infrastructure facilities in Stepanakert.
The agency also notes that Russian peacekeepers are ensuring the safe return of refugees and monitoring the ceasefire regime in Nagorno-Karabakh. "The provision of safe returns for refugees and the organization of the secure movement of civilians returning home along the contact line is being conducted under the leadership and supervision of the humanitarian response interdepartmental center."
