There Are Also Villages Whose Inhabitants Still Do Not Know Whether They Will Evacuate Their Homes or Not: Tigran Abrahamyan

Former advisor to the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Tigran Abrahamyan, wrote on his Facebook page: “For several days now, disturbing news has been coming from various villages in Artsakh that the Azerbaijani army is entering villages or lands that are either not being handed over to Azerbaijan according to signed documents, or if they are being handed over, the local residents are not being informed about it – even if they are informed, it is only 1-2 days before their evacuation.

There are also villages whose inhabitants still do not know whether they will evacuate their homes or not. People are forced to personally contact Russian peacekeepers, trying to advance their vital interests, to understand whether their villages are among those being handed over or not, because the state is absent.

Videos have even circulated on the internet showing how Azerbaijani soldiers mock our villagers just a few meters away while they are loading their belongings into cars. Unfortunately, these are not just one, two, or three incidents; there are many.

Since the signing of the tragic document on November 9, there are numerous stories, some of which, unfortunately, have been confirmed by videos or various individuals.

It is interesting to understand what the authorities of Armenia and Artsakh think, who is responsible for ensuring the safety of the people of Artsakh. Are they merely talking into the air and boasting without substance? When will this predicament end? Why are you fleeing from responsibility, leaving the entire burden on our compatriots who are already in a difficult situation? You are trying to maintain your power at all costs, but you are not fulfilling your functions and obligations in any way.”
