Arshak Archbishop Khachatryan Invited to National Security Service
Arshak Archbishop Khachatryan, head of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, has been invited to the National Security Service (NSS). This information was confirmed to NEWS.am by Father Vahram Melikyan, the director of the information system at the Mother See.
It is noteworthy that Archbishop Khachatryan recently criticized the government of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. He stated on his Facebook page: “Nikol Pashinyan has failed in governing the country and must step down to avoid clashes between the people and law enforcement, and most dangerously, to prevent bloodshed. It is time to sacrifice personal safety for the future of the state.”
According to circulating media reports, Arshak Archbishop Khachatryan has been threatened at the NSS in an attempt to silence his criticisms.
