Russian Delegation to Visit Baku and Yerevan to Discuss Urgent Issues of Nagorno-Karabakh Agreement

The Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has reported to President Vladimir Putin that the Nagorno-Karabakh region is fully under the control of Russian peacekeepers. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

Shoigu also informed that they are finalizing coordination with Turkey regarding the parameters of the joint Monitoring Center's operation and its deployment location.

For the first time, the commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh, Rustam Muradov, participated in the consultation.

During a discussion on the peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh, President Putin urged Russian peacekeepers to establish contacts with both Armenians and Azerbaijanis to avoid conflicts arising from everyday life.

“Armenians and Azerbaijanis are conflicting parties, but the conflict is over,” Putin stated.

The president expressed confidence that humanitarian efforts will aid in achieving a political settlement in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Putin announced that a Russian interdepartmental delegation will visit Yerevan and Baku, involving heads of several agencies. The agenda includes the most urgent issues related to the implementation of trilateral agreements on Nagorno-Karabakh.
