The Embassy Doors Are Open for You: France's Ambassador to Hadrut Residents
"Artsakh is ours," "We are the masters of our lands" - with these and other slogans, residents of Hadrut gathered earlier today near the French Embassy. They insist that Hadrut cannot fall under Azerbaijani control, as it has never been Armenian land.
The residents of Hadrut emphasize that they cannot leave their relatives' graves, monuments, and homes to Azerbaijan. Approaching them at the embassy was French Ambassador Jonathan Lacôte, who assured the Hadrut residents that the doors of the French Embassy are always open for them.
He also announced that French President Emmanuel Macron is scheduled to meet with a representative of Armenia to discuss the current situation. According to Lacôte, France has not signed the known document and will do everything possible to ensure that the solution is also satisfactory for the Armenian people.
