Human Rights Defender's Working Groups Conduct Interviews with 60 Detained or Arrested Individuals
Under the direct supervision of the Human Rights Defender, today nine working groups were operational at the Defender's office concerning assemblies. This information was reported by the office of the Human Rights Defender.
Six groups conducted visits to police divisions in Yerevan and Gyumri, as well as to locations where detainees are held. One group carried out observations of the assemblies in physical presence, while another group conducted observations through media and social networks. Additionally, another group carried out legal analysis work.
During visits to police divisions, interviews were conducted with 60 individuals who were detained or arrested. Of them, 51 were detained for administrative offenses, while 9 were suspected of committing criminal acts. The results of the visits are currently in the summarization phase.
